The enormous 30-foot concrete columns supporting the motorway bridges, known as the "Spaghetti Bowl," are covered in colorful murals. The painting of murals started in 1981, and the collection grew to over fifty murals.
As the roadway expanded, however, some of the murals were lost due to reconstruction.
Artists are trying to preserve the remaining murals through auctions to raise funds that will go towards restoring or protecting the murals.
